On Monday, Jan. 29, join Reclaim the Media, Seattle-area media activists and special guest Andrea Quijada from the New Mexico Media Literacy Project for a free-ranging discussion about the recent Media Reform conference in Memphis, what's next for Media Justice and Media Democracy organizing, and the connections between youth media literacy, social justice and media justice! Our featured guest is friend and compañera Andrea Quijada. Andrea is the Director of Educational Programs for the New Mexico Media Literacy Project. Andrea delivers media literacy presentations and trainings -- in New Mexico, across the USA and internationally -- at professional and student conferences, at community forums, on college campuses, and in middle schools and high schools. She leads workshops for students, teachers, media activists, community organizers and health professionals. Andrea also presents twice a year at NMMLP’s Catalyst Institute. Light dinner provided: please RSVP to sabrinadroach@yahoo.com.
